Law 9/2009 of extending the length of paternity leave has entered into force from 01/01/2017, As established in the Final Provision Eleven of Law 48/2015 of the General State Budget for 2016.

Therefore, the worker is entitled to permit partenidad during four weeks uninterrupted, in cases of child birth, adoption, custody for adoption or foster care, that have occurred since 01.01.2017.

In cases of birth, adoption, custody for adoption or foster care multiple, Paternity leave for each child will be extended by two days after the second.

The duration of paternity leave is regulated in the art.48.7 of the Consolidated Law Workers' Statute (RD Leg 2/2015), and in art.49 c) of the Revised Basic Law Statute Public employee (RD Leg 5/2015).

Minimum wage (SMI) 2017

Royal Decree 742/2016, published in the Official Gazette of December 31 fixes the amount of interprofessional Minimino salary for 2017, in 23.59 € / day o € 707.70 / my an increase of 8% over the current in the previous year, and € 9.907,80 calculated annually.

For the workers temporary and seasonal whose services to the same company do not exceed 120 days, the SMI is fixed at 33,51 € per day.

The SMI of home employees working for hours in external regime, will be € 5.54 per hour effectively worked.
